This functional casserole is a joy to bake and serve in. I love this rich buttermilk glaze. It is easy to clean and the cobalt and turquoise blue decoration shows through softly with the blue breaking to lavender. The decoration is brushed on freely and the incised trailes and alterations tie it all together
The rolled and then squared decorative side and lid handles project well for easy handling when hot. At 6 inches to top of lid and 8 inches wide this holds about 2-3/4 quarts in volume.
I sell many of these for wedding gifts, or just for baking your special dish for a crowd. I pull it out of the oven hot and wrap it in a bath towel. It will stay warm for an hour as you head to a potluck! Hardy stoneware but still put it in the oven at room temperature and heat. Dishwasher, food, and microwave safe.
